The transgender community in India faces a complex web of social, legal, economic and health‐care challenges, including Social Stigma & Discrimination, Family rejection, Violence and harassment, Cultural exclusion, Legal & Administrative Barriers, Community abuse, Education & Employment Disadvantage, etc. Humsafar Trust is an NGO that provides sustainable support to Transgender individuals, HIV patients, Families of sex workers, etc. As a part of its continuing program to serve the cause of the Transgender community, RCMSEP distributed Nutritional Ration Kits to the transgender community and HIV-infected individuals at Humsafar Trust, Kalina. In observance of Pitru Paksha (September 7-21), RCMSEP pays tribute to ancestors through Tarpan and charitable donations.
