Relief for Flood victims of Punjab-Odomos

06 Sep 2025 Jalandhar Collection Centre, Jalandhar

Overview

The recent floods in Punjab have submerged over 1,400 villages and flooded 371,000+ acres of farmland, displacing lakhs of residents and damaging both homes and livelihoods. In addition to crop loss, many livestock have died or suffered, creating a crisis for rural communities dependent on agriculture and animal husbandry. There is an urgent need to provide humanitarian aid—shelter, clean water, medical support—and also long-term help so communities can rebuild and restore their means of income. On understanding of the above situation, RCMSEP immediately activated its resources and reached out to DG Punjab Rtn. Rohit Oberoi and RC Jalandhar, who highlighted the urgent need for essentials such as 1440 pcs of Odomos for villagers who had lost everything in the floods. Without delay, RCMSEP dispatched these relief materials to the Jalandhar Collection Centre to support the affected families.
