Overview
The Rotary Club of Mumbai Sher-E-Punjab, in association with Tolani College of Commerce, Andheri East, successfully conducted an E-Waste Awareness Speaker Session for Class 11 students.
The session was delivered by Rtn. Jotinder Singh Ahluwalia, who explained the growing challenge of electronic waste in India and its serious environmental and health impacts. He sensitively highlighted what happens to discarded electronic items, the dangers of informal e-waste handling, and the importance of authorised recycling and the circular economy.
The program was highly interactive and concluded with an engaging “Kaun Banega Green Warrior” (KBC-style Q&A), which generated enthusiastic participation, healthy competition, and insightful questions from students. The session successfully raised awareness among young minds and encouraged responsible electronic consumption and disposal practices. It was a meaningful step towards nurturing environmentally conscious and responsible citizens.
