The Rotary Club of Mumbai Sher-E-Punjab organized a CPR Training Workshop for the students and teachers of Tolani College of Commerce.
The session was conducted by renowned Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Akshay Mehta, who shared valuable knowledge about responding to cardiac emergencies and the importance of timely intervention in saving lives.
A total of 155 students attended the workshop and participated enthusiastically in the interactive session. Dr. Mehta explained the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest, helping the students clearly understand these often-confused medical conditions. He also guided them on how to recognize early signs of a cardiac emergency and the immediate steps that should be taken to help a victim.
The highlight of the session was the demonstration of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) techniques and the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Students learned how to perform chest compressions during cardiac emergencies.
