Overview
The Rotary Club of Mumbai Sher-E-Punjab co-hosted a Cancer Screening Camp in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Mumbai Lakers, aimed at promoting early detection and preventive healthcare among the community.
The initiative was conducted at Prashik Welfare Society, Aarey Colony Road.
The program focused on providing essential diagnostic and preventive healthcare services to the community. A range of important tests were conducted to assess overall health, including kidney function parameters such as Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN), Calcium, Creatinine, Uric Acid, estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR), BUN/Creatinine Ratio, and Urea. These tests are crucial in identifying early signs of kidney-related issues and ensuring timely medical intervention.
Breast Cancer screening and Pap Smear tests were also conducted for women to create awareness and encourage early detection. Awareness sessions were conducted to educate beneficiaries about the importance of regular health check-ups.
