Project Sparsh - Day 1

16 Apr 2026 Little Flower School, Andheri East

Overview

The Rotary Club of Mumbai Sher-E-Punjab, in collaboration with Niramaya Health Foundation, successfully conducted Day 1 of Project Sparsh. A total of 120 children participated in the awareness sessions. Separate classes were arranged for boys and girls to ensure comfort, openness, and better understanding of the sensitive topics discussed. The project was led by President Rtn. Minishaa I. Oberoi and Dr. Sunita Sharma. The session for girls focused on adolescence, body changes, hygiene, emotional well-being, and menstruation. Scientific reasons behind menstruation were explained in a simple and educational manner, helping students understand the natural changes during growing years. Proper hygiene practices and emotional support during adolescence were also discussed. The boys attended a separate session where age-appropriate topics related to adolescence, physical and emotional changes, personal hygiene, and responsible behaviour were explained.
