Overview
The Rotary Club of Mumbai Sher-E-Punjab successfully conducted Project Chetna, a workshop organized for teachers to equip them with knowledge and practical tools to identify, prevent, and address substance abuse issues among students. The session was conducted by the RC Addiction Prevention Team-Rtn. Dr. Siddharth Udeshi and Rtn. Vishal Patwa. They delivered an insightful and engaging session explaining that addiction can take many forms and is not limited only to drugs or alcohol. They spoke about the various reasons behind addiction, including peer pressure, stress, emotional struggles, curiosity, lack of guidance, and environmental influences. The teachers actively participated in the program, appreciated the informative content, and expressed that such awareness initiatives are essential in today’s times.
